Hook is a CODFISH!

So yesterday my sister and I were playing with Sammie. After she had a bath o'course! She was sitting next to my sister who was giving her treats if she did tricks. I was like, "Do you know what's in those?" I told her that the thin, white top and bottom layers were cod and the middle, brown layer was a mixture of chicken and sweet potatoes (cause I had just read that on the package). She was like, "Do you want to try one?" so I said, "Sure!" So we split one in half and... ate it.

It actually didn't taste that bad (in my opinion. It kinda tasted like jerky), but the texture was AWFUL and it just coated your mouth and I was determined to swallow it. So when I was ready, my sister starts gagging. I start thinking about what's in my mouth and there's no way that my body would let that crap down my throat! So then I start to gag and we bolt inside and I flush my mouth out with water and try to get it all out of my teeth and I was feeling a little sick! I ran upstairs to go brush my teeth so I could get the texture out!

When I got downstairs to talk to my sister, toothpaste foam was dripping from her mouth and her toothbrush was hanging from it. I was like, "Did you throw up..." but saw what was in the sink and I just stopped. Turns out she clogged the sink AND the toilet with last night's dinner! It was NASTY!!! So word of advice: NEVER TRY YOUR DOG'S TREATS NO MATTER WHAT'S IN THEM!!!

Sammie got into my mom's growbox! She dug this hole, and then she saw my little brother sleeping on the hammock. She likes to wake people up... Needless to say, he ran inside with dirt on his leg screaming! tehehe...hehe...he... well, it was funny! My home teachers are here! (35 minutes later...) My home teacher left! Can I just tell you how AWESOME my ward is? My home teacher is my piano teacher's husband and they're both AMAZING and he's also in the bishopric with my neighbor and he and his wife are AWESOME and my bishop lives down the street and he is SO COOL and Kate's the best, Jennie's hilarious and Ciara's wicked awesome and long story short- I have the best ward! Here's the hole!

I like this American layout. I'm not too crazy about the flag in the middle (it kinda makes it a bit harder to read the words), but it's a nice focal point. I think I'm going to stick with this one!

An Epic Battle of Endless Wars

So, here's the story: I got bored (no surprise there). Looked at Chrisanne's blog. Looked at one of her friend's blogs cause I had seen it before and just randomly went there again (called "A Bunch of Nonsense"). It was GORGEOUS! I felt the need for a change. Went to that website and found buttloads of cute layouts, but couldn't find the one that was "me." Found this black and white one. Not entirely me, but I kinda like it. But not enough to keep it for a while. I want to find one that I just LOVE- like Cheri's from A Bunch of Nonsense. I don't know her, but I love her style. But I don't want to copy... So I'm starting an "epic battle of endless wars" for a new background. Wish me luck!

(the other day, my little 8-year-old brother told me a story that started like this: "Stephanie! Guess what? Me and Daniel were having an epic battle of endless wars with our light sabers..." hahahaha!!!)

So today there's a Camp Rock viewing party at IKEA. I WANT TO GO! But I can't. My parents won't let me drive there on account of I've never driven on the freeway with them, and also because I've never been on the freeway in anything bigger than a Corolla. Let me tell you that diesel cars accelerate MUCH DIFFERENT than gas cars. I could still do it easy, I guarantee you I could, but... bottom line, if I can't get someone to drive me (and possibly Kali, if she can) to IKEA tonight, then I'm not going to the Camp Rock viewing party.

Dang it.

You're all wrong- Kenny Ortega directed all of the Highschool Musical movies (and will continue to do so until they DIE. Highschool Musical 76: Senior Center!), Cheetah Girls 2, and Newsies. He did not do Cheetah Girls 1, hence the reason why #2 is not nearly as cheesy as #1, because Kenny Ortega does do a good job with singing and dancing movies, you'll have to admit.

haha! I pushed tab this time! So... Camp Rock... watched it. LOVED IT! Here's what I think needs to be improved (warning, contains spoilers!):

ONE: Shane Gray goes from Bad Guy to Total Change of Heart WAY too quick. idk, some of his scenes seemed somewhat out of character, like when he bites of Demi Lovato's head for breathing, then literally a minute later smiles and says, "You really know how to make a guy feel better." But don't worry- that's the writers' fault and not Joe's.

TWO: Demi Lovato has an AMAZING voice. She tends to be too breathy for my taste at times, but maybe that's just her character. Other than that, BRAVA! But her acting...? Not so good. Demi, you need to take acting lessons from Selena and she needs to take singing lessons from you. (Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez are best friends. They both sing and act on Disney Channel.)

THREE: My final suggestion: I absolutely LOVE the little arguments that Nick and Kevin have. However, at the end of those arguments, it's a little cheesy for them to say "Sorry" like they do in the movie. I would rather have them say or do something else.

Joe doesn't like Demi Lovato, Shane Gray likes Mitchie Torres. Joe and Shane Gray are two separate people, one of which does not exist. Joe specifically asked not to kiss Demi in the movie because he knows that that would probably jeopardize our marriage. And he didn't want to anyway.

Ug!! It's a habit to push "Enter" and not "Tab" and I post stupid titles!

K, so at Camp, (which, our theme this year, believe it or not, is ROCK ON!! Like a firm foundation thing...!) the Sr. YCL's are in charge of this Value Walk thing where 7 groups rotate around in these 5 minute presentation things that 7 of us Sr. YCL's are doing. I'm doing Knowledge. So my Stake YW President calls me and wants me to go to her house to present to her what I'm doing so she can make sure that everything's all set. So I start preparing my thing- the day before I go to her house. Yeah. It took me forever to just get 5 minutes worth of stuff cause I wanted it to be good! So I finally finish my stuff and go to her house and guess what- it's amazing! She tells me all this good stuff that she loved about it and then says to me, "I just have one thing. These rotations are set up to be 5 minutes long, and all the other girls pretty much cut at five minutes. (me: Shoot! I need more stuff!) Yours is ten." Holy crap! Instead of being too short, I'm way too long! But that's ok, I'm just glad everything is good.

haha, woops! Oh my gosh, I'm so mad because I didn't get to watch Camp Rock last night because I was driving home from Lake Powell! I got in at like 2:15 this morning. But oh my gosh it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I have like a million mosquito bites though, but they're all on the back of my right hand and the top of my right foot! Crazy! Well, I have to get something done and then go walk my dog, so...bye!

Hey! I'm in Arizona! Right now I'm staying in Page along with 2 of my sisters (well, 3), my dad, and one of my younger brothers. 4 of my other brothers are camping along with my other sister and Elise. Then my mom and my other little brother are still in Orem cause my little brother had a tournament baseball game he played in today and his team won!! Hard to follow? Doesn't matter. Look at what I've been doing!

I think I'm cured...! At the Summerfest Parade, my neighbor and his friends came and sat by us. Well, one of his friends has a Great Dane. He made it sneek up on me and I didn't even freak out! I even pet it! And if that's not enough for you, now I want one! Yes, me! The girl who has been terrified of dogs her whole life, and is now determined to own a Great Dane when she grows up! They're so cool! My brother wants one too, so I hope he gets one so I can play with it!

I wish American Eagle had a 2 for 1 deal on shorts.

So I'm going to Lake Powell on Wednesday. I'm going to have a wicked awesome time! I hope... Look at these awesome pictures I took of Lake Powell the last time I was there (October 2006)! Youth Conference

Youth Conference was way fun! We ended sleeping in our houses both nights, but that's ok. Me and Kali had a sleepover last night anyway, except it wasn't much because we both fell asleep early. Well, I did. She might've. I was so tired! We were busy from 6:45 am to like 9:15ish pm! Touring Salt Lake was way fun though, moreso than I thought it would be. Well, my family's going to the Summerfest right now... I have to work some things out today. I love food!

I Love the Summerfest... *sigh*...

Can I just tell you , that living by the park SUCKS!! Well, actually, most years it's invigorating! But not last year. Or this year. You want to know why? Cause last year AND this year I've missed Friday on account of Youth Conference. (I think last year was YC, it could've been camp... No, I'm pretty sure it was YC.) And Friday is the best day cause everyone has to work that day so there's a manageable amount of people there and you can get on all the rides and into the cute little booths just fine but NOT ON SATURDAY!! Cause on Saturday there's a gajillion people there and you can't ride any of the rides without waiting for 3 hours cause people keep butting in line!

Living by the park sucks cause when you drive past it (everytime you get in the car), you can see them putting up the rides. And your heart rips into peices cause you know you can't ride them because you have...

Youth Conference.

On the bright side, I never have to worry about parking because I live so close! We just walk every year!

I Am My Brother's Slave.

Today, I... (haha, this is how Chrisanne starts her Vegas Days!)

1. Disgruntled my parents a bit by going to the mall to by my brother a shirt

3. Took with me my annoyed little brother, and required him to wear older brother's shirt cause he wanted his new shirt to be that color, (all for older brother)

5. Argued with little brother to follow older brother's requests for little brother to try on shirts like 3 times


6. Bought white shirt instead of blue shirt


7. Found out later it was the wrong shirt,


8. Made 2 sandwiches for said older brother,


9. Washed canned peaches and put them in a Ziploc container thing for brother.

As a result of all this, I am no longer in the mood to practice my piano. That makes it 10 times harder to go sit down and do it. I have lessons tomorrow. I still have to learn a total of almost 2 pages and get them up to performance level. My teacher's going to kill me.

Wahoo.

I Need Shorts!

If people retired clothes like they retire the American Flag (which I've done and was a WAY COOL experience!), then I'd retire my shorts, cause they finally got a hole in them and they were getting a bit small. And I saw some that I liked at American Eagle today, but the thing is... I HAVE NO MONEY. Well I do, but it's in check form. And I've been gone like all day, and I need to practice my piano cause my teacher is going to KILL me!!! So I have 2 hours of that to do still (today has been totally and completely unpredictably INSANE), and then I have to go to my Camp adopted ward's mutual tonight to meet all the girls. And today is the last day of the sale!! Oh well. I still want those shorts though...

I Love To Read!!

Did you know that I taught myself how to read? In PRESCHOOL? I did! I also slept the WHOLE night through since Day 1 (I was a thumb sucker!), never took a pacifier, was the quickest in my family off the bottle, and was the quickest to be potty trained. BEAT THAT!

I decided to be a good little YW and actually apply one lesson that I struggle with to my daily life. That lesson is Time Management. I suck at it! So I sat down last Sunday (June 1) and planned out everything I was going to do over the next week. I wrote my schedule down, and just put tasks I have to take care of on the side. I only got done what was scheduled, except for reading an hour everyday. I read for more than an hour everyday!

But that also meant that I didn't practice my piano like I should have, didn't take care of any camp stuff, and did do another thing that I can't think of right now. So I'm taking this one step at a time: I scheduled time for piano practice.

And it's helping! I'm breaking my 2 hours down into one hour at a time, at specific times I've already set out, and during the hour break in between practice sessions, I've been cleaning my room! Today has been my most productive Summer Day! TIME MANAGEMENT ROCKS!!!

Woops- I pushed a button when writing my title for my last post and it published with only a title that says, "Today, I". (It was supposed to say "Today, I am having a bad hair day." Anyway...



I can be so moody sometimes! Not like all mad at the world moody, but for instance: Today at work, it was kinda a quiet day, so naturally I'm thinking about my life and start rampaging in my head. It went something like this:

"I HATE when people feel sorry for themselves and expect people to feel sorry for them too! Just because the Attention-Seekers in life don't get the attention they want doesn't mean that they should be all, "Nobody likes me, Everybody hates me, I guess I'll go EAT WORMS." It bugs the flipping CRAP out of me! Just because one of your friends would rather take a day off and be lazy at home than to go to Jump On It with you doesn't mean she (or her) hates you and just because your cousin won't sit and talk to all your aunts and uncles with you because she wants to go upstairs and play in grandma's funhouse doesn't mean that worms are on the menu! STOP WANTING EVERY LIGHT ON YOU AND STOP BEING SUCH A CHARITY CASE WHEN THINGS DON'T GO YOUR WAY!"

Then, when I was driving home from work, I started rocking out to See You Again and then I was parking "my" car when Year 3000 (by the Jonas Brothers!) came on next (I am a faithful Radio Disney listener!) and it was like nothing's wrong! I was kinda way ticked today and not in such a good mood at work, then I get in my car and everything's fine. Like, I could be lying on a beach in Waikiki and I wouldn't feel any different. Sure, I'm worried about how piano's going to go next week for my first week back, and that I need to get my room clean for my sister to move into, but seriously! It's like nothing happened! Well, this is getting crazy long, so I'm going to end it now.

K, I know that this isn't the biggest priority on your summer To Do List, and it may even sound dorky, but COME TO SUMMER SEMINARY!! Last summer, I would have read that sentence and been like, "Yeah, I'm staying home!" but honestly, it's awesome! Brother Wing, who BTW, is my 2nd most FAVORITE seminary teacher EVER taught today (he'll be back on June 17th!) and it was so cool! I'll be there, except for 2 Tuesdays in July (Chrisanne- have you heard from SOAR yet?), and you are most welcome to bring a friend if you want! Just please please please come!!!

He's (or she's) so sad that you weren't there today, and it will make him (or her) even more sad if you don't come at all!!

Seminary Council

Guys, I'm so excited for Seminary Council! We went up to Salt Lake last Thursday and it was awesome! We were split up into groups for some of the things we did and I absolutely love those who I got to know better! Here are some pics from that day- I might put more on later. Come to Summer Seminary!
