Oh Troy Boulton... haha! :)

(K my title is actually related to this post- if you've ever seen High School Musical 4 from SNL, you'll understand.)

So.

College.

I just got out of my first class. Decided to come to the Wilk. I feel like people are staring at me... meh.

My thoughts?

1: I SWEAR- Every time I'm here, there is this kid that plays Zelda on the piano. Every time. Like without fail. Now it's Pirates of the Caribbean. Pink Panther. Mario. Lion King. Phantom. He keeps switching. Little Mermaid. Annie. I think he lives here... haha!

2: It was a drawing class, which I probably never would have taken if it wasn't a prereq for pHOTOGRAPHY. I've never taken a drawing class before, so I'm kinda somewhat a little bit nervous, but I'm also equally excited. Well, maybe more excited. :) But you know what I was thinking during that class?

Drawing Class + My love for drawing letters/words = This class is going to turn me into a graffiti artist.

babyyyyyy. :)

And right now, THE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES IS ON!!!

It's basically amazingly awesome. :)

ps: Aarti won. Which is a good thing... but now that she's the next Food Network star, I kinda wish Herbie won. Cooking Con Sabor! Yummy food that won't make you fat! Sounded good to me. oh well. :/

I just think some people are amazing. :) Also, I am hiking to/running through Stewart Falls before summer is over.

Sometimes in life,

You discover just how great at bowling you are.

Like at work Christmas parties.

Or bowling with your family on Christmas Eve.

Or on Sundays when the dog drops a lacrosse ball by your computer when you're updating your blog and you toss it behind you and it 1: knocks down two piles of ginormous checkers and 2: rolls under a bench where she can't get it.

Life is good. :)

Warning: Novel Ahead.

hey...

Listen.

Ok. So you had it. You were there. You know what I liked most about you? You totally knew who you were, and you were happy with yourself. You sincerely loved life. You still claim to love life, but... truthfully, it doesn't exactly seem to be the case right now. You were just a happy person, and that happiness seemed to radiate into the lives of those around you. You know what I'm talking about. girl. Where'd you go? I wish I still had your light in my life. It was nice.

You know what I think? I think that you just lost faith in yourself. Too many years of "I can't," and "I'm not good enough," that you thought you stashed away are resurfacing. Well, you're wrong. I know you don't believe it right now, but you are capable of doing anything. Everything! Seriously- you got heart, baby girl. But you've built this wall around yourself that tells you that all of your dreams are out of reach. Can I just tell you that that is like the biggest self-destruct button I've ever seen? Because you are one of the biggest dreamers I know! You should know that we weren't given the ability to dream without the ability to reach them.

You keep waiting around for someone to initiate the demolition process. I've noticed that you kinda tend to feel the need to have someone tell you the water's warm before you jump in. But you know what? No one else knows the wall's there. They can't see it because you hide it so well. And on top of that, what good would that do? Other people can't fight your battles for you. Not this kind. Nope, this is all you, dude.

Now don't get discouraged- you're never alone. You know who you have on your side. This is the part where you trust in Him. Remember the whole safe zone thing? It's only scary to fall because you don't know when the falls are going to come. They're unexpected- that's the point. But I can promise you that this is the only way you're going to reach those greater heights. So come back out of your "safe" zone. Remember that with every fall comes an opportunity to rise higher. And I know that when you do, you're going to end up higher than you were before, and you'll be stronger! Trust me on this one. :)

You've got this. You can do it! I have faith in you. I've seen you pull off amazing things before and you can do it again. It's your time to shine. :)

Just do it.

Somewhat desparately. Also: Classic Disney.

Okay.

Time for the low-down.

Show: The Next Food Network Star.

Who's Left: Aarti, Herb, and Tom.

Aarti and Herb have been my favorite from the beginning. Lately, they've been scaring me though because they haven't been doing the greatest... (Except for this last episode.) But I wanted them both to make it to the finals and they did! And as for Tom... I would have never in a million years guessed that he would make it to the finale... haha! We called him a bum at the beginning of the season, cause that's seriously how he came off! But I do like him. :)

Aarti: She's from Dubai. Once I went to the Indian Palace where I was first introduced to indian food. I LOVED it. So when I read her bio, I was like, "Oh! If she wins, I hope she makes indian food on her show because it is YUMMY." As I started watching the show, she was an instant favorite. And also, she brought out a ukulele one week for a camera challenge, which definitely scored points with me. I love my ukulele! And just ukuleles in general. :)

Herb: HERBIE!!!!!! I love love LOVE Herb!!! His story: he was the fat kid growing up, and it was kinda depressing for him. So he decided to change that. Now: He's a personal trainer/chef/stay-at-home dad who's making yummy Cuban food with healthy twists! PLUS he can do like 100 different kinds of push ups. yup. He showed us one week. :)

Tom: Mr. Bold Man! He's crazy, dude... But we've learned to like him over the past few weeks! Big fat guy, crazy hair, and a job title of Unemployed Chef... can you see why we thought he was a bum? ;) But he's really creative and funny and he's really impressed the Selection Committee with his food, as well as fed them the worst food in The Next Food Network Star history... haha! Gotta love him. ;)

Who do I want to win? ...tough question... I love love love Aarti. She's had this really warm personality in weeks past and has proven herself capable of making AMAZING food. But I also love love love Herbie!! AH he's so awesome! And inspiring. He's worked so hard to get where he is today! But if Tom does end up winning, I won't be surprised, and I won't be disappointed. So... I don't know. But I'm so excited for the last episode of The Next Food Network Star!!! :)

Jamba :)

I don't have any wisdom teeth.

sweeeet. :)

But... my brother does.

4 of them.

And he just got them out today.

I'm excited because 1: I'm hoping to get some funny conversations out of him, and 2: This will be the only time that I get to see him with a fat face. He's kind of a stick. haha!

Except it's not as fun as I thought, because I have to change his gauze.

I think I'm going to be sick.

F-150. FISO. It's just destiny.

Ok, so this 2 posts a day thing? Don't get used to it. But it does seem to be the trend right now. haha!

ANYWAY.

I just saw my book list for next semester.

I think I went into shock.

3 BOOKS.

$13.95 TOTAL.

Is this for real?

cURLS.

Job #2: still good.

Job #1: ...well, on the bright side, I now get to sleep in every morning.

This has been an eventful summer:

  • I had my first job interview ever (I've always just had connections!), which went TERRIBLY... but I still got the job, because a few people dropped out. Funny how stuff like that works. ;)
  • Hated the job, then loved it, as you've already read about a few times. :)
  • My ex-YW Leader/hairstylist/twin moved, BUT I got to talk to her husband on the phone at work one time! (we work for the same company)
  • (yes... with 2 jobs, work has kinda been my life.)
  • I became the official photographer for Utah County Longboard Addiction! (haha! It's not as big of a deal as it sounds, trust me!)
  • My high school got torn down.
  • I got to spend TONS of time playing with my family. which rocks. :)
  • I discovered my love for drawing outside with chalk. :)
  • I also discovered my love of playing volleyball! I suck... but it's still wicked fun!
  • I saw Toy Story 3, which I LOVED. Amazing movie. Go see it. :)
  • My brothers and I made our own Old Spice commercial. HAHA!
  • My family and I went to Lake Powell. :)
  • I GOT A FLIP FLOP TAN!
  • Earlier this morning, I got laid off from my job that I've had since June of 2009. This is another first for me. kinda sucks...
  • And most recently, I taught Kai-Dawg to say "peace." hahaha! :)
we're still working on it. ;)

World of Color. :)

Dear Chrisanne:

I knew we got a picture together. :)

Yes, I do watch the Disney Channel. :)

Ok.

So I just got back from Lake Powell. If I've never told you about Lake Powell, basically it's my second most FAVORITE place on the entire planet (Disneyland es mi favorito). It is the most beautiful place I have EVER been to, and it's like my second home. I love love LOVE it there! It's amazing. :)

Tell me this isn't absolutely awesomely amazing. you can't. cause you'd be lying. ;) And just fyi, there is no editing at all done to these pictures. This is honestly what it looks like!

So I had 2 goals for this trip, one of which was to get a flip flop tan. I've wanted one FOREVER. AND I FINALLY GOT ONE!!!!! It's like gone now... (blast.) but I was so excited when I had it! I seriously couldn't believe it was there when I would look down at my feet! It made me so happy. :)

Don't you just wish you could live here? :)
