the beach... :)

Ok.

So for my Psychology class, our last assignment was to violate a social norm and write a paper about it. soooooooo here's what I did...!

I went to California for my sister's wedding reception over the weekend. On the drive back, I remembered that I had to write this paper! So I was like, "Shoot!" But then I got an idea. I asked my dad if we were going to for sure stop at a gas station sometime, and he said, "Yes." So I was like, "Ok. Here's what I have to do..." and I told my family in the car about my idea.

Enter gas station: My family and I stopped in Barstow to fuel up, go to the bathroom, etc. I had planned to burst through the doors of the gas station, sing a line from The Princess and the Frog at the top of my lungs, and then run out. But then as I got near the door, I chickened out. So I go to the bathroom and come back out and all of my little brothers were like, "Are you going to do it??" Then my older brother walked out of the bathroom (he didn't know my plan because he drove with his wife in their car) and I told him about it. He's like, "DO IT!!" So I gave him my camera to film me. I started at the back end of an aisle with a straight shot to the door. My brother stood at the front of the aisle. I asked him, "Are you going?" and he answered, "You're running out of battery! GO!" So I was like, "K here we go...!" I stopped thinking and bolted through the aisle singing at the top of my lungs, "BLUE SKIES AND SUUUUUUNSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!!!!!" Then I raced out the door and all the way back to my car! hahahahaha!!! It was super super funny! I was laughing to tears after!! So here's the video if you want to see me put on a show for the people of Barstow, CA. haha! My little brothers said a few people laughed around them, and then you'll see this lady's reaction in the video as she tries to walk in as I'm running out. :)

um...

I got a new email...

Someone please tell me what this one means... I'm somewhat confused... And maybe this is good news for me... but I'm not sure...

"Fall Semester 2010.

Some of you received my earlier email, however, I have new news for you regarding VA 111. VA 111 is divided into two parts, the seminar held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 until 7:50 pm and the Friday labs held from 4:00 until 6:00 pm. The seminar is designed to introduce students to the different areas of the Department and to introduce the issues of Belief Systems in Visual Arts, including the unique LDS beliefs, and of Creatity as well lectures from visiting artists.

New to the curriculum of VA 111 is the addition of the Friday labs. Students will have the opportunity to choose 3 or 4 labs throughout the semester. The labs will give students a "hands on" experience with the different areas of the department. If students are trying to decide which area to go into, we hope that the lab will help with that decision. If students just want to explore an area to see what its about, that's good too.

We think this new component to the VA 111 course will be both helpful and enjoyable. The instructor is looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to the Department of Visual Arts.

Thank you."

Hannah Montana. Season 1, Episode 1.

I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!

SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always hear that life is unfair. Well, I've known that. You want to know how I know that?!

Unfair situation #1: 2 friends and I wanted to get into this apartment complex for next year. We were told contracts went on sale on a SATURDAY. We were also told that we would have to wake up at like 5:00 to wait in line. The office opened at 10:00. So, friend and I wake up at 4:00 IN THE FETCHING MORNING to go wait in line, only to find out at 7:00am that people had started to camp out at noon on FRIDAY, the day before, and that the manager didn't want people camping out overnight on her porch, so she sold them contracts EARLY!! My friends and I? Still looking.

Unfair situation #2: I want to major in photography. Time to register for classes! So I go to take the classes that my advisor told me to take so I could apply to the Visual Arts department. But it won't let me unless I'm accepted into the department! So I'm freaking out and I email the advisement center and ask what the deal is. They tell me I have to declare myself a pre-visual arts major. So I go in today to declare myself a pre-visual arts major and sign up for the classes I need. Finally, my schedule is all good and conflict free just the way I want it. good. Then I get this email that says, "Sorry- VA 111 has been changed to 2 hours long so you're going to go insane, and we're also having it on Friday from 11:00-1:50, so screw you." I have a CLOGGING class from 1:00-1:50!!!! SO NOW I CAN'T TAKE MY CLOGGING CLASS BECAUSE STUPID PEOPLE LIE ABOUT WHEN THEIR CLASS IS AND THEN LAUGH IN YOUR FACE WHEN YOUR MOST FAVORITE CLASS IN THE WORLD DISAPPEARS RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES!!!!! I seriously can't express how much I love clogging!!! I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm a credit short of 14 (and I need 14 to keep my scholarship!) and now I have to take a lame PE class cause the good ones are all full! I kinda hate BYU right now! They make up their own rules and no one can do anything about it! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

On the plus side- I'm probably going to be in my most favorite place on Earth on Friday.

Dear Sterling Knight- I think you are amazingly attractive. Will you marry me?

So my sister is married! yay!! :)

I was also in lu'au, which was SUPER FUN!!!! Oh my goodness. Friends, memories, wicked sweet dances, a couple hot guys... :) I'm doing this every year! I can't express to you how much I loved it! :)

I want to be a photographer. So my sister-in-law had me take some pics of her for her graduation announcement. I'm not really good yet, but they turned out pretty well! I can't wait to be so much better! I plan on getting more experience taking pictures and using photoshop this next summer/fall so that when I apply in November I'll get in. :)

Well, last week was crazy. Good, but crazy. And I survived. :) yes!! At the end of the week I went to the temple with Kristen. :) Then my sister and I went to the Cedar Tree Pow Wow where we had YUMMY Navajo Tacos! Then at home, we watched games all day. My other sister's team won the championship game for basketball! yay! Yes, life is good. :)

"At home, I eat them with... I eat them with peanut butter." "You do? That is so weird! So do I!"

I wonder...

You think BluRay hasn't taken over the world yet because they don't make computers that can play the disks?

Or is it because Walmart still sells DVD Players?

hmm.

Life is good. :)
